This cam cap is an upgraded replacement part for anyone with a broken factory cap. The factory caps can be fragile and break easily during installation or removal. Typically if your factory part breaks, your entire cylinder head must be replaced.
To rectify this, AMS released a replacement cam cap years ago, but it has since gone out of production. In order to continue to have a solution, we decided to design and produce our own cap, thus saving your cylinder head from the scrap heap.
This cam cap is not plug and play! Since each cylinder head is unique, the cap has to be machined for use on your head by a machine shop.
