Mitsubishi EVO X Intakes

This intake bung set is designed for our AMS EVO X Short ram and Cold Air intake kits. Whether you want to replace missing bungs or add them into your existing intake these are the fittings needed. Breather bungs are recommend for those looking to retain the same line routing on the factory PCV system.

The set includes three bungs. Only two will be used, simply choose the two that fit your needs.

• For those looking to add breather bungs to an existing intake you will need to use a ½” drill bit to make the receiver holes for the bungs.

High flow compressor outlet pipe for Evo X turbo. 2 bolt flanged, progressive tapered and larger diameter. Lightweight aluminum. Contoured machined outlet flange for smooth flow and o-ring flange face eliminates leaks and the 2 bolt gasket for proper seal. Immediately tapers from stock 1.75" diameter to 2.5" diameter and overall discharge area is increased by 100%. Don't upgrade your upper intercooler piping without eliminating this bottleneck out of the turbo! All aluminum, TIG welded construction and wrinkle black powdercoated finish.

The COBB 3" Turbo Inlet Hose is constructed using four ply steel-reinforced silicone, eliminating the issue of hose collapse that other inlet pipes suffer while under suction at peak demand. While the steel reinforcement provides excellent stability, the silicone allows adequate torsional flex, allowing engine movement on the OEM engine mounts under hard acceleration without risk of separation.  This system uses all factory fittings and clamps.

The COBB Tuning 3" Turbo Inlet Hose is designed for use with 3" inlet turbos, such as the MHI TF06-18K. The bulge design of the COBB Inlet Hose increases the cross-section to 3.5" to maximize air flow delivered directly to your 3" turbocharger, providing much more efficient power and response. The smooth inner walls of the COBB Turbo Inlet taper gradually at both ends and reduce the air turbulence that occurs in the factory accordion style inlet. Designed to work with factory sized intakes.

High flow compressor 3" inlet pipe set for EVO X turbo. Includes 3" inlet elbow, 3" couplers, and upper pipe to mate to airbox. All aluminum, TIG welded construction and wrinkle black powdercoated. Designed to be used on stock turbo (alum adapter plate shown) or without the adapter plate, it fits the Garrett GT3071R, GT3076R, or ATP GT35R.

The AMS EVO X Performance Intake is professionally TIG welded in house by our master fabricators using high quality 3” mandrel bent aluminum. A K&N free flowing filter is included along with new 4 ply silicone couplers and hose clamps. Another exclusive feature is the BOV recirculation tube entry angle, which is completely in-line with the air induction path avoiding turbulence and maintaining excellent air flow. This 3" short ram intake was designed for use with aftermarket lower intercooler pipes such as the AMS and ETS kits. Also works with the stock lower intercooler pipe. These lower FMIC pipes relocate the BOV return closer to the front of the vehicle, making your factory BOV system useless. Furthermore, removal of the recirculated BOV setup requires additional work, such as a tune. This is not always an option for those budget minded individuals. So a convenient aftermarket option was needed.

The MAPerformance Evo X Intake Kit features a 3" 304 stainless steel tube. Why stainless you ask? It's a well known fact that steel reduces heat absorption compared to aluminum tubing. Lower heat improves power capacity with the stock mass airflow sensor, so our kit will not require tuning or scaling. Capped off with a massive 6" velocity stack, coupled with a high-flow K&N air filter, you'll get maximum induction performance.

The ETS MAF Intake Includes a huge 5" inlet K+N air filter which feeds the intake pipe via the ETS EVO X MAF adapter which is milled on the ETS lathe for the perfect transition to the inlet diameter of the MAF sensor tube. With a built in dowel pin and precise inner diameter to make a 100% seal with the rubber grommet, this piece installs and fits as if it had a Mitsubishi part number. The system is then braced to the chassis with an aluminum bracket to ensure no movement or vibration. A single-piece mandrel bent 3" intake pipe makes the connection between the MAF and turbo with a smooth transition recirculation fitting for an easy connection to the BOV discharge.

Available in two varieties:

• 6.0L Race intake - This intake is not for street cars, since it requires removal of the power steering pump.
• 4.2L Street intake - This intake is ideal for street legal cars which require the factory power steering pump.
